If I load an MP4 into Photos, it plays a couple frames then a spinner appears and starts running, apparently forever. Photos is weird in that it fails in different ways for different media types. In the video cases, the first couple frames of the video appears before the failure message in WMP or M&TV. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file. Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Windows Media Player failure message is: ![]() This item is in a format we don't support. Groove M&TV Photos WMPĬhoose something else to play. ![]() Most of the media does not play on the new machine. I built a new PC, installed 64-bit Windows 10 Pro, applied updates, and copied a bunch of my media from my old 64-bit Windows 7 PC.
